What a delightful and delicious experience! We stopped in after passing by and were pleasantly surprised by the cheerful color of the walls, the small Caribbean grocery offerings and the joyful ladies working. We had jerk chicken plate and an oxtail plate. The jerk was spicy and ox tails were slow cooked all the way to perfection. Both came with scrumptious dirty rice, stewed cabbage and plantains. The food and the vibe reminded me of my time in Kingston. What a fantastic spot!

This is one of those restaurants you just eat all the time and never remember to review but today I remembered! My husband and I have been eating here at least 10 years and it has always consistently been delicious. I have had a lot of Caribbean food since then and simply haven’t found anything better (this food is made with love). We even went to Jamaica and felt Jays was better lol.

The customer service was excellent, which is the main reason for my 5-star rating. The food was decent—nothing spectacular. The jerk chicken, in particular, didn’t seem grilled; it tasted more like it was boiled, and the sauce appeared to be store-bought. That said, it’s a good spot for a quick lunch, thanks to the fast service. I’d definitely stop by again if I were in the area.

Went specifically for the oxtail as that’s what my husband and I were craving. Did not disappoint. Good size plate, oxtail was delicious and not too fatty. The dumpling was so good. The fridge was stocked with all types of Jamaican drinks from carrot with milk to different kolas. I had the refreshing champagne kolas. For dessert we took home a small pint of grape nut ice cream. Delish tastes like a cereal ice cream. They had other flavors available such as the classic rum raisin.
